• R. Douglas writes: What is the deal with BOB fm? Keep hearing the same songs over and over and over lately. And they keep playing those stupid self-promotion spots between every two songs to the point of it being annoying! "please listen resonsibly"... what is that?? I like that genre of music, but there is more to it than just what they are playing. Plus, no one at BOB seems to be willing to answer their email, I have sent them song suggestions and stuff. Should I consider myself addicted to BOB and seek help?
• Yes, we would say so. You are definitely addicted, no question. As a matter of fact, so are we! The thing we are wondering is when they will finally do something with that website of theirs that has said "Bob's website coming soon!" now for a year. Bob's webmaster needs to get with the program!

• H4A_Renquist writes: Why oh why oh why must these idiots with spraypaint cans go out every spring and summer and spray their stupid squiggly nonsense all over other people's private property?? Why? Are they really under the impression that anyone cares one whit about weather they were "there" or not? Does anyone care if those squiggles of nonsence signify some sort of special gang affiliation? I think there should be a new law in Winnipeg, one that makes it legal to shoot on sight anyone caught defacing private property like that. My neighbor's garage door just got nailed, and their next-door-neighbor's garage wall was covered the same night. It's insane. Grrrr. I want some BUTTS!!
• Agreed. Maybe more neighborhoods should consider organizing some neighborhood watches, and rotate out the duties of walking around the neighborhood at night? Those automatic security lights that just come on when someone walks by don't seem to be very effective.

As usual there's a lot going on in Winnipeg this spring and summer, and much of the fun is found at the Forks Market.  Our photographer took a walk-through on the May long weekend and discovered the absolutely festival-like atmosphere going on. From great restaraunts and eateries to shops full of exotic trinkets to outdoor concerts and river boat tours, the Forks should be a definite "must see" on anyone's list of things to do this season!
