I placed an order for pizza from Dick's back in the middle of May, and it was one of the best decisions I've made in the pizza-ordering department! First off, I could tell that they were quite busy, and on a weeknight no less, as the person taking my order informed me that it could take more than an hour for my order to arrive. That was fine, so I went ahead and ordered 2 large "specialty pizzas" for the special price of $25.95. 

The order arrived approximately 40 minutes later, over 20 minutes earlier than was promised, which was to be only the first nice surprise of the experience. I paid and tipped the driver, and the first thing I noticed was that, although the boxes looked a bit smallish for large sized pizzas, they were none-the-less heavy, thus telling me that they were loaded down with toppings.

Pizza one, called "The Full Dick" (named after the owner, Dick Rivers, DJ extaordinaire for Power 97 FM) was simply loaded with toppings and a decent covering of real mozzarella, and it smelled wonderful. Pepperoni, ham, back bacon, sausage, onions, mushrooms and a ton of cheese makes up this one.
Pizza two, aptley titled "The Cheech" (another of 97 FM's radio personalities no less) was equally loaded and heavy with a wealth of toppings, like hot spiced ground beef, jalepino peppers, green peppers, onions, tomatoes, and a blend of cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.

The crust on these pies was, in this reviewers opinion, is/was superbly baked to perfection. Not too thin, not too thick...the focus of Dick's Pizza is the toppings definitely, but the crust was crispy and flavorful, making this pizza some of the best that I've ever tasted.

On a subsequent order in June, the pies were consistant with the first time I ordered. I like consistancy in a pizza joint, because no one likes getting a lousy order, and Dick's Pizza seems to be right on track.

Check Dick out, he's a guy that knows what a good pizza is!
